Autosport International
12.01.2019

I had never been to Autosport International at the NEC before but everyone has told me to go. So me and my assistant photographer booked our tickets and set off for the big smoke of Birmingham and the event which we were told was the best indoor automotive event of the year. My thoughts beforehand were that it would be overcrowded, every stand piled on top of the next and that it would be a bit of a disappointment. How wrong could I be...

We were welcomed by five halls each packed to the rafters with auto sports from every field imaginable. From tractor pulling to the latest customised cars and even our favourites from the WRC arena.

Each and every aspect was fantastic, I have to admit, being an Auctioneer and Antiques Dealer with my other company James & James, that I had an avid interest in the goings on at Silverstone Auctions. It was great to see so many classics go under the

hammer and see how other Auctioneers operate. The main reason for the visit was obviously to photograph the event and there were so many fantastic opportunities. The events of the Live Action Area certainly did not disappoint. It was a great opportunity to catch up with some old friends after the Christmas break and to meet some new contacts including Chris and Toby of PIE Motorsport who compete in the Porsche Cup.

I will definitely be back here next year. I hope that you enjoy my images of this Auto Sport spectacle...
