Well it was the third meet that Norman and the team had arranged during August and the third one which had been greeted with rain. Well due to other commitments it was the first one I could attend so sun or rain I was going to be there. There may not have been many cars there but there was some stunners. One car I don't tire of seeing is Sean's Ferrari 488 Spider, a true beauty to photograph. There were also some classics as always which provide some great views and it is always impressive to see how well
kept they are. The effort put in to them by their doting owners is inspirational.
The morning also provided a great opportunity to catch up with friends old and new. Sometimes the rain really can be a blessing, sitting in the Chung Ku restaurant overlooking the gloomy Mersey with a nice hot cup of tea was a pleasant change.
I hadn't seen Brian (www.brianlloydphotography.co.uk) since Goodwood back in July so was great to see him even if we were both running round in the pouring rain at first trying to get some decent images.
It is always great to attend a meet like Cars & Coffee, to be surrounded by true petrol heads and simply talk cars for a morning. One of the main topics of conversation for us this morning was the newly released €5m Bugatti Divo, with split opinions so far I think we will have to wait to see one in the flesh. Who knows one may make an appearance at C&C soon. I think however from the selection on offer today the car which seemed to get the most attention was the Mk1 Golf GTI, one I'm sure Norm was glad made an appearance. Roll on the September meet and lets hope we are blessed with even slightly better weather.
